Free Our Health Care NOW! Update

Friends -

Great news! Thanks for your support of the "Free Our Health Care NOW!" petition. Because of your efforts, more than 1 million Americans have voiced their opposition to government-run health care. You have done it!

The petition campaign has reached 1,015,000 signers . However, we need to keep adding "members of our team" to help us in this battle! The more names we have to deliver to Congress in late August, the better.

We have now entered phase two of the campaign. It is time to let our legislators know how we feel. Here is an example of people just like you and me, letting their congress member know what they think of his plan to vote for government-run health care. Lloyd Doggett is in the Democratic House leadership. He is considered to be in a "safe" district. Yet here are Doggett's voters chasing him out of a rally. He escapes in a car as voters chant, "Just say no." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8UjY3YDlwA We can "Just say no." across America!

Your children and grandchildren will thank you for being a part of stopping the destruction of the best health care system in the world. To do that, we are providing you with the tools and facts for the Town Hall meetings around the country.

Additionally, we are providing you with an NCPA Talking Points memo to let your congress members and senators know how you feel. Also, below is Speaker Pelosi's talking points for members, and the response to them. Remember, Congress works for you!

What can you do about this?

  • Use the Action Pack http://actionpack.ncpa.org to sign the petition, to print the petition or to access our Learning/Teaching Tools about health care so that you can educate your friends, family and neighbors.
  • Contact your Senator or Representative and let them know how you feel.
